About the Event

Tending a garden can help us stay physically and mentally active and engaged with our surroundings, though it can be energetically demanding. During this class you will learn skills for increasing comfort while protecting the body from strain. Find out about economy of motion and how to witness your own physical form while you move and do typical garden tasks. We will draw on yoga to engage the breath, notice alignment and body sensations, and adapt posture. This will be a lighthearted movement session in a public park edible landscape. You can think of this as partner-style yoga with Earth as your yoga partner.

Class will be customized based on the needs of attendees. Tell us ahead of class time if any accommodations are needed for inclusion. All are welcome.

THINGS TO BRING: Yoga mat or towel, portable props if you usually use them in the garden, water bottle

DESIRED DRESS CODE: Appropriate clothes for yoga/outdoor exercise in the garden
